ConOps Backoffice Crew (2 positions available)

Department
ConOps
Description
Have you seen those messages being sent in the NFC Live Telegram Channels? Those are sent by our creative ConOps Backoffice Team!

The live messages are sent out on Telegram, Twitter, and Bluesky. Requests for live messages come in from STEW of varying departments and positions and are a helpful tool to keep attendees aware of events, delays, or other helpful information.

When the live message queue is slow, we also assist our Helpdesk crew by answering questions from attendees that have been put into tickets. These tickets often involve questions that our Helpdesk wasn't able to answer without some research. This usually involves some digging around to find an answer and then getting in contact with the attendee with the information.

Backoffice also handles radio communication for ConOps. This is usually not a major part of the daily work but can sometimes be required to get in contact with people or answer questions directed to ConOps.

If you are looking for something that doesn't involve facing attendees directly, but you have great communication skills and love writing, you'll fit right in!

Before the convention starts you will receive training to get familiar with our IT systems, our Backoffice procedures, and radio communication.

Helping out in ConOps back office was a great experience! It's a fast-paced role that kept me interested and engaged, while providing the opportunity to make a real difference helping out attendees. I was also part of a fun and supportive team who were always happy to help out. If you enjoy problem solving, communication, and are looking for a role that's varied, exciting, and rewarding, I'd highly recommend it!
